Lock and Dam 19 is located in Keokuk, Iowa, on the Mississippi River and is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The lock chamber measures 110 feet wide by 600 feet long, allowing it to accommodate large commercial barges. The dam, which was completed in 1913, creates a pool that raises the water level by about 18 feet, facilitating navigation. The facility is a critical part of the Upper Mississippi River navigation system, handling around 13 million tons of cargo annually.

Available night and day, the webcam, mounted on the remains of the original train and traffic bridge, is rolling from time to time to provide a live feed with both visuals and sound. It offers breathtaking views of the Mississippi River, Lock & Dam #19, Victory Park, the Illinois riverfront, and the George M. Verity Museum. The camera captures the calming sounds of the river, passing barges, and the surrounding environment, making it an immersive experience for anyone tuning in.
