Westfield, MA, located in Hampden County, has a population of approximately 40,000 and spans 47 square miles in western Massachusetts. The city is home to the Great River Bridge, which carries Routes 10 and 202 over the Westfield River and was originally built in the 1930s, with an additional span added in 2012 to accommodate increased traffic.

The webcam with audio provides a live westward view along the CSX Berkshire Subdivision, near Mile Post 108. In the distance, viewers can see a black railroad bridge, once part of the New York, New Haven & Hartford RR, now repurposed as a rail trail, with the Westfield River to the left. Approximately 15-20 trains pass daily, mostly CSX freight trains such as mixed freight, intermodal, autoracks, and ethanol tank loads, along with the Amtrak Lake Shore Limited in the late afternoon. Most westbound trains head toward Selkirk, NY, or Chicago, while eastbound trains continue to West Springfield, Worcester, and beyond, with some freight interchanging to regional railroads.
