Riga, Latvia with a population of over 600,000 (that is a 3rd of the population in all of Latvia) was founded in 1201 and is the largest city as well as the capital of Latvia. In 2006, Riga was the host for the NATO Summit and is a year round tourist attraction with its beautiful architecture (Freedom Monument, Riga Castle, National Library of Latvia, etc...) and amazing architectural art pieces (Alberta Iela 12 Staircase, Elizabetes Iela, Jauniela, etc...).

This webcam is sitting atop the Radisson Blu Daugava Hotel overlooking the Daugava River. Every few seconds it slowly pans from West to East spanning the expanse of the city of Riga.
