Barbados' main airport is Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI), located near Bridgetown. It is the country's primary international gateway and handles flights from North America, Europe, and the Caribbean. The airport has a single passenger terminal with facilities including shops, restaurants, lounges, and car-rental services. It is approximately 13 km (8 miles) southeast of Bridgetown. The airport is named after Sir Grantley Adams, Barbados' first Premier. BGI is an important gateway for tourism and is especially busy during the winter travel season.

The webcam shows the runway, apron and airport control tower, giving viewers a look at aircraft movements and airport activity. Viewers can watch planes landing and taking off, taxiing between the runway and terminal, and aircraft being handled on the apron. Depending on the time of day and season, you may see aircraft from airlines such as British Airways, Air Canada, American Airlines, JetBlue, Caribbean Airlines, WestJet, TUI Airways, interCaribbean Airways and Condor. Common aircraft include Airbus A320-family jets, Boeing 737s, Boeing 787 Dreamliners, ATR turboprops and Embraer regional aircraft.
