San Francisco International Airport (SFO) is the second-busiest airport in California and ranked among the top 20 busiest airports in the U.S., handling about 42 million passengers in 2022. It is located about 13 miles south of downtown San Francisco and covers an area of roughly 5,200 acres. SFO has four runways arranged in parallel pairs and four passenger terminals (T1–T3 and the International Terminal). The International Terminal, opened in 2000, is the largest in North America and houses one of the world's largest duty-free shopping areas. The airport is a major hub for United Airlines and a primary base for Alaska Airlines.
The webcam with tracking, aircraft labeling, and ATC audio provides a live view of airport activity. It follows planes as they move across runways and taxiways, while labels show details such as flight numbers, airlines, and destinations. ATC audio lets viewers listen to real-time communication between pilots and controllers. Through this webcam, it's possible to see everything from small regional aircraft to large international jets like the Boeing 777 and Airbus A350.
