Orange, California is a historic city in Orange County, California, located between Anaheim and Santa Ana. It is especially known for its well-preserved Old Towne district, which contains one of the largest collections of historic buildings in Southern California. The city was founded in the late nineteenth century and grew from an agricultural community famous for citrus groves. Today Orange combines historic neighborhoods with modern shopping areas, restaurants, and business centers. Chapman University is located in the heart of the city and contributes a lively college atmosphere and cultural events. Orange is also popular for its tree-lined streets, community festivals, and convenient access to beaches, theme parks, and other attractions throughout Southern California.

The webcam looks directly toward Plaza Park, the circular town square at Plaza Square, surrounded by Chapman Avenue and Glassell Street. The live camera shows the famous central fountain, mature trees, historic storefronts, cafés, restaurants, pedestrians and traffic around “The Circle.” Throughout the day visitors can be seen walking, shopping, dining outdoors, meeting friends, and attending community activities in the plaza area. The webcam is especially lively during farmers markets, seasonal celebrations, concerts, and the annual Orange International Street Fair, which fills the surrounding streets with food booths, music, and large crowds.
