Famous for sightings of an unusual creature swimming within its waters, the Loch Ness is one of Scotland's natural wonders. The lake is approximately 750 feet in depth with an area of 21.78 mi2 surrounded by lush greenery and gentle hills. Aside from its fame for its "monster" the Loch is also used as a lower storage reservoir for the Foyers pumped storage hydroelectric system which was the first to be implemented in the United Kingdom and now provides power to the UK national grid.

Visibility of the lake is very poor at night through this camera, but its day view shows you the amazing lake surrounded by the soft hills of the Scottish Highlands. Watch live on video stream for a possible Nessie sighting or, if you missed it, you can watch the local sheep as they happily graze on the rich grass. If you are planning a visit to the Loch, be sure to check out this webcam for the local weather conditions before going.
