St. Barth Airport
Located in the Caribbean sea 20km from St Martin is the mountainous island of St Barth. Being of European heritage, it was once French territory. You can still find some of the street signs written in both French and Swedish. The island of St Barth is now home to 10,000 residents. In 2017 the island was devastated by hurricane Irma and had steadily rebuilt itself back to its original status.
The webcam is situated in Saint Jean quarter of St Barth. It spans the back end of the small airport, Gustaff The Third, located on the island with views of the highway sweeping down to meet it. It is sometimes called St Jean Airport and can only accommodate small commercial aircraft and small private planes. Are you planning a visit?
