Ameland
The webcam at Terminal Nes on Ameland provides a live view of the ferry quay where ferries arrive and depart between the mainland and the island. Viewers can see ferries docking, vehicles and bicycles boarding or disembarking, and passengers moving along the ramps. The surrounding harbour and the waters of the Wadden Sea are also visible, including changing weather conditions. The terminal is busiest during tourist seasons in spring and summer, with lines of cars, cyclists, and pedestrians clearly visible. Each ferry can carry about 24 cars along with passengers and bicycles, which sometimes leads to queues forming before departure. The webcam allows viewers to check terminal activity, see how busy it is, and get a sense of the current weather and sea conditions.
