Kagoshima Airport (KOJ) is the main aviation gateway to Kagoshima Prefecture in southern Kyushu, Japan. It is located about 40 kilometers north of Kagoshima City, serving both urban areas and nearby volcanic regions. The airport has a single asphalt runway approximately 3,000 meters long, capable of handling wide-body aircraft. Kagoshima Airport operates a modern passenger terminal with domestic and international sections, designed to handle several million passengers annually. It plays a key role in connecting southern Kyushu with major Japanese hubs such as Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka, as well as selected international destinations. Due to its proximity to Sakurajima volcano, the airport is equipped with advanced safety and operational systems to manage volcanic ash conditions.

The webcam offers an immersive live view with sound, allowing viewers to experience airport operations almost as if they were there in person. From its vantage point, the camera captures aircraft taxiing very close to the terminal, as well as planes moving along the runway from a slightly more distant perspective. Viewers can watch a variety of Japanese carriers such as Japan Airlines (JAL), All Nippon Airways (ANA), and low-cost airlines like Peach Aviation and Solaseed Air. The types of aircraft frequently visible include narrow-body jets like the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320, regional turboprops such as the Bombardier Dash 8, and occasionally larger wide-body planes on domestic or international routes. Ground operations, including pushbacks, boarding, and luggage handling, are clearly visible, adding an authentic behind-the-scenes perspective. This webcam is perfect for aviation enthusiasts who want to observe both the hustle of the terminal apron and the dynamic movements of aircraft on the runway.
