Gramado is a charming mountain town in Brazil's southern state of Rio Grande do Sul, with a population of about 40,000 people. It's known for its European-inspired architecture, alpine scenery, and year-round festive atmosphere. Set in the Serra Gaúcha region, it blends strong German and Italian cultural influences, which show up in its chalets, bakeries, chocolate shops, and traditional cuisine. The climate is cooler than much of Brazil, making it a popular escape – especially in winter, when temperatures drop low enough for occasional frost or even rare snowflakes. Gramado is also famous for its big events, including Natal Luz, one of the largest Christmas festivals in the world, turning the entire town into a glowing holiday village for over two months. With its cozy cafés, lakes, gardens, and theme parks, Gramado feels like a little piece of Europe hidden in Brazil.

The webcam overlooking the intersection of Av. Borges de Medeiros and Av. das Hortênsias in Gramado captures one of the town’s most iconic and lively spots. From this view, viewers can see the charming shops, cafés, and boutiques that line both avenues, giving a perfect sense of Gramado's European-style atmosphere. During the holiday season, the camera also shows the beautifully decorated Christmas tree placed in the center of the road, glowing with lights and ornaments. At times, this intersection becomes a stage for local events and performances, when traffic is temporarily stopped and the street transforms into a pedestrian-only area filled with music, shows, and festive energy. It's a great webcam for experiencing the heart of Gramado in real time.
