Taiwan is currently the largest most populous and economic states NOT part of the United Nations. This is due to their uncertain governmental system. Ruled originally by the Republic of China, the POC took over Taiwan during China’s current political system the Peoples Republic of China. Although Taiwan has its own independent governmental system, the PRC prevents them from joining the UN as its own independent state claiming it is part of the PRC. This political war has very little bearing on Taiwan's growth however and Taiwan has become an economic powerhouse in the world producing a large percentage of the electronic parts used in various products globe wide.
