Featured in hundreds of films, the Port of Los Angeles is a site to behold. Ships from all over the world travel to and from the port carrying everything from people to consumer goods. During World War II the port was commissioned by the United States Military for wartime purposes. Today, the Port of Los Angeles is the number one and largest port in the United States shipping and receiving 8.1 trillion units per year.

This camera is overlooking the harbor with a clear view of the Battleship Iowa which is a World War II battleship turned into a museum. The Vincent Thomas Bridge which stretches over the harbor connecting San Pedro to Terminal Island. And the downtown area of Los Angeles can be seen in the distance. You can view the current weather conditions, ship traffic, and smog conditions in the area from this camera which is best viewed during the day as that is when the action is.
