Castlepoint Lighthouse stands on a rocky headland along the east coast of New Zealand and has guided ships since 1913. It is one of the last manually built lighthouses in the country and remains a well-known landmark. The lighthouse overlooks the coastal village of Castlepoint. Castlepoint is known for its long sandy beach and a reef with visible fossils. The area also features Castle Rock, a large formation rising above the shore.
