Sendai is the largest city in the Tōhoku region and the capital of Miyagi Prefecture. It has a population of about 1.09 million people, making it a major urban center in northern Japan. The city covers an area of around 786 square kilometers, combining urban districts with natural landscapes. Sendai is divided into five wards: Aoba, Miyagino, Wakabayashi, Taihaku, and Izumi. Aoba Ward is the administrative and commercial center, while Izumi is known for residential and suburban areas. It is often called the “City of Trees” due to its green streets, parks, and surrounding mountains.

The webcams show wide, real-time views of the downtown skyline and panoramic cityscape from high vantage points overlooking the urban core. They capture the tall buildings, streets, and surrounding landscape, giving you a sweeping look at the city's layout and architecture. These cameras are excellent for checking current weather conditions, letting you see cloud cover, sunshine, rain, or fog as it happens. You can also watch how visibility and lighting change throughout the day, from sunrise to sunset and into the evening.
