Chubu Centrair International Airport (NGO) is a major international airport serving the Nagoya region, built on an artificial island in Ise Bay about 35 km south of the city. It operates 24 hours a day and has a single 3,500-meter runway (18/36) with a width of 60 meters, suitable for wide-body aircraft such as the Boeing 777, 787, and Airbus A350. The airfield is equipped with ILS precision approach systems, modern taxiways, and extensive apron areas supporting both passenger and cargo operations. The main passenger terminal integrates domestic and international flights in one building and is supported by a separate low-cost carrier terminal. The airport handles millions of passengers annually and plays a key role in Japan's manufacturing and cargo logistics network. Designed for future growth, Chubu Centrair includes plans for an additional runway to increase operational capacity and resilience.
The webcam is giving viewers a clear airside view of the apron, runway, and the surrounding waters of Ise Bay. From this vantage point, it's possible to watch ground operations up close, including aircraft taxiing, pushback, refueling, and baggage handling, as well as takeoffs and landings throughout the day and night. The camera regularly captures a wide range of aircraft, from narrow-body jets like the Airbus A320 family and Boeing 737 to wide-body aircraft such as the Boeing 787, 777, and Airbus A330. Viewers can often see aircraft operated by airlines including All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan Airlines (JAL), Peach Aviation, Scoot, Singapore Airlines, and other Asian and international carriers. Thanks to the airport's island location, the webcam also offers a distinctive backdrop of water and coastal scenery, making it especially appealing for aviation enthusiasts.
