The Stork Nest in Bohuslavice is one of the most well-known nesting spots for white storks in the Czech Republic. It is located on top of a tall pole in the center of the small village of Bohuslavice, surrounded by open fields and farmlands that give the birds easy access to food. Every spring, the same pair of white storks usually returns to the nest after migrating thousands of kilometers from Africa. They rebuild and repair the structure with branches and grass before laying eggs, which usually happens in late April or early May. Over the years, this nest has seen the successful raising of many chicks, with several young storks taking their first flights by midsummer.
The nest is observed through a live camera, allowing people from around the world to watch the full cycle of stork life – from arrival and nesting to feeding, growing, and fledging. The sight of the Bohuslavice storks has become a local symbol of renewal and the peaceful rhythm of nature in the Czech countryside.
