The webcams show views from a restaurant on Long Beach Avenue in York Beach, capturing two different sides of the beach. One camera looks along Long Sands Beach, a long, open stretch of sand about 1.3 miles(2.1 km) where visitors can swim, surf, or relax by the water. The other camera captures Short Sands Beach, a shorter and more central section of the beach surrounded by shops, restaurants, and arcades, giving a lively, town-side perspective.
