The main airport of Osaka, Osaka International Airport is one of the first class airports in the country. Most of the airport land is located in Itami and hence, it is known as Itami Airport as well. Though it has the term 'International' associated with it, the airport only facilitates domestic flights. Operated by the New Kansai International Airport Co. Ltd., it was reduced to domestic status due to the high noise complained by the people living in the surrounding areas.
